this site is a collection of my writings while abroad. it is intended to be a snapshot in time and circumstance. you are welcome to read, comment and participate in vicavag. please credit this site elsewhere if you link or quote from it.

vicavag comes from the words “vicarious” and “vagabond.” i initially called my travel writings “vicariously vagabonding” then shortened it to just “vica-vag” and now just “vicavag.”

i may sometimes refer to this as “v3″ because it is the third version of the blog and, i hope, the one that will endure. the previous versions were insignificant to me and though i may repost some of the material from them, they are for the most part ancient history to me.
